We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Landscape Architect/Designer with 8+ years of professional experience to become a vital part of our dynamic design team. In this role, you will work closely with a team of designers, construction professionals, and horticulturists to craft exceptional projects. While this is not a managerial role, you will take on senior-level responsibilities, bringing expertise, creativity, and leadership to every project phase—from concept development to construction implementation.

Requirements

  • A creative and thoughtful designer with a passion for innovation and collaboration.
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, and SketchUp; strong freehand and computer graphic skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design and construction processes, including permitting, construction administration, and implementation.
  • Familiarity with zoning laws, municipal permitting, and public presentation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client interactions, proposals, and presentations.

  • Licensure is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, site-specific design solutions.
  • Lead the design process for complex projects, producing high-quality conceptual designs, construction documentation, and presentation materials.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling client presentations using a combination of freehand and digital graphics.
  • Oversee site assessments, analyze existing conditions, and contribute to field layout and construction administration.
  • Develop planting plans with an advanced understanding of the New England palette.
  • Engage in municipal permitting processes, including zoning reviews, public speaking, and presentations.
  • Work seamlessly with architects, civil engineers, consultants, project managers, and contractors to ensure project success.
