About The Position

Landscape Architect (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services Inc.; New York, NY): Participate in design development and preparation of contract documents, presentation packages, and specifications for landscape architecture projects involving public spaces, including parks, plazas, streetscape, residential areas, or educational campuses etc. Support coordination of consulting disciplines including urban design, engineering, community engagement, and artists to help ensure project progress adheres to plans. Participate in project meetings with engineers, architects, artists and other consultants, clients, and/or government agencies to understand project requirements and provide status updates. Prepare and develop contract drawings and presentation packages using design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe CS, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel and Word, Lumion, and Rhino. Participate in construction administration and observation including shop drawing review, tracking submittals, and field visits. Manage project quality through internal Quality Assurance processes. Participate in ongoing skill development activities. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). The salary is $118,498 per year. #LI-DNI #GTM Qualifications Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience with the following: Conducting field visits and performing site analysis; Sustainable design in urban and suburban areas, including within the public realm; New York City agency design standards and requirements; Construction administration and on-site construction observation; and AutoCAD, Adobe CS, and Rhino. Must have an active U.S. Landscape Architecture License. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week. Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 5%.
