Inaba Foods (USA) Inc. is seeking a Senior Key Account Manager to drive strategic growth and manage high-value relationships with national and regional retailers, as well as distributors within the pet specialty category. This role requires a proven leader with a deep understanding of account management, strong business acumen, and the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue and market share. This is an office-based position in Torrance, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in key account management within the pet food industry working with Pet Specialty stores at a Headquarter level.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in growing national and regional accounts.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar accounts and achieving revenue targets.
  • Proficiency in sales forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • This is an in-office position, however, have willingness to travel frequently to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Must hold an unrestricted driver’s license with a strong driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage key account relationships at a senior level, ensuring long-term partnerships and revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand distribution and increase sales volumes across key accounts.
  • Conduct high-level negotiations on pricing, promotions, credit terms, and contract agreements.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
  • Oversee forecasting, sales projections, and inventory planning to ensure product availability and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and executive leadership to align strategies and ensure brand positioning.
  • Drive customer engagement through regular business reviews, performance presentations, and strategic planning meetings.
  • Resolve complex customer issues, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and brand loyalty.
  • Act as a mentor and leader within the sales team, providing guidance and support to junior account managers.
  • Ensure all sales activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations.
