Brij has an immediate, part-time, ad-hoc contract opportunity for an experienced JD Edwards World Technical Consultant with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for a senior consultant who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in delivering clean, scalable solutions. Requirements

10+ years of proven hands-on AS400 programming expertise.
Experience with RPG, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, DB400, SQLRPGLE, ILE Concept.
Advanced knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and programming principles.
Experience supporting Oracle applications.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Distraction-free remote workspace/home office, with ability to join video meetings.
Immediately available ~5-10 hours/week, between 8am-6pm EST.

Responsibilities

Design, code, test, document, and maintain Oracle software applications using RPG programming language on the AS400 platform.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions to meet client's business requirements.
Perform unit testing and debugging of software applications to ensure functionality and reliability.
Modify and enhance existing programs to improve performance and usability.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting of real-time production issues.
Document code and software development processes for future reference.
Deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction.
