About The Position

This is a 100% on-site position located in Washington, DC. The role requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. The Senior IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing the Microsoft 365 Entra ID environment, with a focus on conditional access, MFA integration, and auditing. Day-to-day administration of both on-premises and M365 environments is a key part of the role. The engineer will also install, configure, test, and maintain servers, storage, and networking equipment, including performing firmware and security updates. Developing and implementing STIGS configuration baselines for servers and configuring proactive monitoring are also critical. Additionally, the position involves identifying FISMA implementation gaps, executing security compliance activities such as SCUBA baselines and EDR policies, developing disaster recovery strategies, and implementing patch management.

Requirements

• Minimum of six continuous years performing in this role.
• Relevant IT certifications may be substituted for a formal college degree; however, demonstrated hands-on experience is mandatory and may not be substituted.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
