Position Summary Sony Honda Mobility of America (SHMA) is seeking a highly skilled and service-driven Senior IT Operations Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support and operational leadership across our Torrance and Culver City locations, including regular support at the Sony Pictures Studios campus. This role is ideal for a seasoned IT professional who enjoys working directly with employees in both corporate and studio environments and who takes ownership of end-to-end IT support operations. You will support executives, engineers, and business teams, manage end-user systems, administer Microsoft Office 365 services, support Entra ID identity and device access, and manage SharePoint collaboration environments. In addition to daily support, you will partner closely with IT leadership to improve systems, strengthen security practices, and scale IT operations as the company grows. This is a fast-paced, startup-style environment where priorities move quickly and operational ownership is essential. The right candidate is proactive, highly dependable, and takes pride in building reliable, secure, and efficient IT support services that keep teams productive and confident in their tools.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in IT support, desktop engineering, or similar end user computing roles
  • Strong experience supporting Windows 10, Windows 11, and macOS in corporate environments
  • Advanced hands on experience supporting Microsoft Office 365, Entra ID, and SharePoint services
  • Proven ability to resolve complex hardware, operating system, identity, and application issues
  • Experience managing user accounts, permissions, and device access policies
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security and access controls
  • Excellent customer service skills with experience supporting executive level users
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with strong documentation practices

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A Plus, Network Plus, Microsoft, Apple, or Cisco certifications
  • Experience using PowerShell or other automation tools for IT administration
  • Experience supporting collaboration platforms in scaling or startup environments
  • Experience supporting media, production, or studio style work environments
  • Experience contributing to IT standards, policies, or security improvements

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex IT support issues across Torrance and Culver City locations
  • Provide high quality onsite and remote IT support for executives, engineers, and business teams
  • Own end user computing environments including Windows 10, Windows 11, and macOS systems
  • Support and maintain HP and Apple hardware including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Lead employee onboarding and offboarding processes including hardware setup, account provisioning, and access management
  • Install, configure, and administer Microsoft Office 365 applications and services
  • Manage Entra ID user accounts, group policies, device enrollment, conditional access, and identity related issues
  • Manage and maintain SharePoint sites including permissions, document libraries, basic site updates, and user training
  • Troubleshoot SharePoint access, sync, workflow, and collaboration issues across departments
  • Support and improve conference room audio visual systems and collaboration tools
  • Plan and execute software updates, system upgrades, and device refresh programs
  • Train employees on collaboration tools and best practices to improve productivity and data security
  • Develop, document, and maintain IT procedures, workflows, and troubleshooting guides
  • Partner with IT leadership and cross functional teams on technology projects and infrastructure improvements
  • Support Office 365 governance, data protection, and security best practices
  • Monitor IT performance trends and recommend tools or process improvements
  • Support IT needs for executive meetings, events, and critical business activities as required
  • Mentor junior IT staff or contractors as the IT function scales
