About The Position

This role involves mastering existing technical frameworks and hardware ecosystems, successfully leading a full event cycle from planning to execution, and anticipating the technical needs of teams. The successful candidate will ensure technology remains invisible and seamless during high-stakes internal and external meetings as well as IT supported global events, ensuring leaders experience zero downtime. This position offers a unique blend of high-level project management, global travel (up to 20%), and the opportunity to lead technical deployments for gaming and mobile hardware on a global stage. Responsibilities include leading the end-to-end IT strategy for global events, directing a team of technicians on-site, utilizing and refining "Work Back Schedules" for strategic project management, partnering with the Global Events team and internal stakeholders to define comprehensive IT needs, managing the lifecycle of IT Events hardware fleet and coordinating complex international shipping, providing dedicated, high-touch IT support to C-suite executives and the Menlo Park office, managing executive and office-based requests via Freshworks, and maintaining a white-glove IT presence at the Menlo Park headquarters.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of Windows/macOS, gaming hardware (PC/Console) preferred, MDM solutions, managing Google Workspace (Admin), Okta (Identity Management), and Zoom (specifically advanced webinar and recording configurations) and networking basics.
  • The ability to translate complex technical needs into clear, actionable requests for non-technical partners and stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of work back schedules and the ability to drive strict milestones while remaining flexible to support changing end-user needs.
  • Proven experience coordinating with external venues or vendors to ensure technical requirements (power, data, space) are met.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for 8–12 hours during event execution weeks.
  • A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Event Production or Live Broadcast environments where cooling and power management are mission-critical.
  • Technical familiarity or a personal interest in emerging gaming tech, including AR goggles, handheld gaming devices, and the latest console ecosystems.
  • A proactive interest in learning global logistics, including international shipping and customs carnet processes.
  • A strong attention to detail regarding "clean" cable management and organized rack/cabinet builds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end IT strategy for global events, including scope definition, budget forecasting, real-time expenditure tracking.
  • Direct a team of technicians during events to set up gaming rigs, demo stations, and presentation set ups while acting as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting.
  • Utilize and refine "Work Back Schedules" for every event, providing stakeholders with critical "IT Need-By" dates and maintaining the agility to adjust plans as internal requirements shift.
  • Partner closely with the Global Events team and internal stakeholders to define comprehensive IT needs—including hardware, peripherals, and gaming consoles—while managing expectations around power, airflow, and data constraints.
  • Manage the lifecycle of IT Events hardware fleet and coordinate complex international shipping involving customs (carnets) and specialized transport.
  • Provide dedicated, high-touch IT support to C-suite executives and Menlo Park office, anticipating their technical needs to prevent friction.
  • Manage executive and office-based requests via Freshworks, ensuring high-priority tickets are resolved with minimal downtime while maintaining detailed project documentation in Google Workspace.
  • Maintain a white-glove IT presence at the Menlo Park headquarters, ensuring IT needs are met and all office technology functions flawlessly.
