About The Position

As a Senior ISSO, you will lead Authorization to Operate (ATO) sustainment for Offutt DRSN and related NC3 mission systems. This is a hands-on, technical cybersecurity role requiring deep expertise in RMF (DoDI 8510.01), NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and compliance execution within classified environments. You will serve as the primary security advisor to mission stakeholders and ensure continuous monitoring, audit readiness, and risk mitigation. You must be able to work onsite at Offutt AFB, Nebraska.

Requirements

  • 4+ years hands-on RMF/ATO experience in an ISSO/IA capacity
  • 6+ years total Information Assurance experience
  • Demonstrated experience authoring RMF artifacts (SSP, POA&M, SAR)
  • Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and CNSSI 1253
  • Experience using eMASS and/or XACTA
  • Experience with ACAS/Nessus or equivalent scanning tools
  • DoD 8140.03 intermediate-level cybersecurity work role experience
  • Impeccable customer service skills.
  • Strong written documentation skills, independent execution, and ability to communicate technical requirements to mixed audiences
  • Available to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM CST.
  • Read, speak, and understand the English language fluently.
  • Expert experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools and systems to include Excel, Project, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Top Secret (TS) with SCI eligibility (NC2-ESI access required within 3 months of hire)
  • Must be eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Completion of initial and ongoing security training is required.
  • Must meet client suitability.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT/Cybersecurity/Computer Science (or related) ( Preferred )
  • Prior support to USSTRATCOM / Combatant Commands / strategic mission systems
  • TEMPEST accreditation/assessment experience
  • Experience supporting secure switching/voice systems (e.g., DSS-2A)
  • CCSS training/certification

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and defend ATO for DRSN/NC3 systems through full RMF lifecycle execution
  • Develop and manage RMF artifacts (SSP, POA&M, SAR) and compliance evidence
  • Lead A&A workflows in eMASS and/or XACTA IA Manager
  • Conduct vulnerability and control audits using ACAS/Nessus; document remediation actions
  • Maintain SCIF accreditation and TEMPEST documentation (as applicable)
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders (DAO/DTRA/NEC) and O&M teams to implement security changes through configuration management
  • Manage security agreements and letters (MOA/MOU/AOR) with external partners
  • Support cybersecurity inspections/audits and provide monthly reporting to leadership
