About The Position

The Senior Human Resources Manager promotes and implements the CRVA’s mission, values, and culture by planning and managing human resources programs. These include benefits administration, HRIS data and payroll operations in ADP Workforce Now, and managing the workers compensation and unemployment insurance processes for the CRVA. This role provides support across all levels of the organization and is responsible for day-to-day HR operations as well as implementing HR policies & programs that drive organizational success.

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from accredited college or university is required. HR certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ related experience in Human Resources. At least 3 years of payroll, benefits and HRIS data management experience required.
  • To perform this job successfully, qualified applicants should have advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Advanced skills in Excel are required.
  • The employee must be able to lift and /or move up to 10 pounds.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date information in ADP Workforce Now (HRIS), ensuring proper system configuration. Regularly reviews and implements best practices to optimize system functionality and data integrity.
  • Manages CRVA benefit plans, collaborating with third-party administrators to negotiate, execute, budget, and facilitate use of plans (e.g., medical, dental, retirement, etc.).
  • Leads annual benefit enrollment processes (design and development) and recommends customized solutions aligned to the strategic requirements of the businesses.
  • Manages CRVA’s annual incentive payment eligibility and process in partnership with the finance department.
  • Manages CRVA’s annual merit increase eligibility and process in collaboration with the Director, Total Compensation.
  • Collaborates closely with payroll by managing HRIS data. Audits each payroll to support the preparation, processing, and distribution of accurate and timely pay to employees. Perform payroll audits and balances.
  • Manages retirement programs’ processes and compliance through Mission Square and the Local Government Employee Retirement System (pension)
  • Reconciles monthly benefits invoices to ensure accurate tracking of usage and cost for the organization
  • Monitors and ensures organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Monitors workers’ compensation compliance and reporting, working closely with the CHRO and General Counsel.
  • Accurately prepares HR metrics and reports critical to business operations.
  • Ensure complete and consistent Human Resources documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Responds to unemployment claims for the organization. Ensures accurate and efficient preparation of required materials and attends unemployment hearings, as needed
  • Participates as a key leader of the CRVA Health and Wellness Committee and annually plans the health and wellness fair.
  • Collaborates on the development of departmental budget, actively managing and reconciling key vendors, workers compensation, and CRVA benefits budgets throughout the year.
