About The Position

The Senior Human Resources Generalist provides consultation and support to Calumet's commercial and corporate groups. This role will use knowledge of various human resources functions including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, and employee relations to provide tactical support and make the business more effective. Success in this role is based upon being able to deliver on core HR activity as well as support delivery of key business priorities which are focused on profitable growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field of study or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Ability to effectively work in a highly confidential environment
  • Proven experience with MS Office Suite
  • Proven experience coordinating completion of project

Nice To Haves

  • Strong working knowledge of related federal and state regulations
  • Project Management experience
  • Previous experience working in an HRIS system (Dayforce)
  • Prior corporate or manufacturing experience
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment in relation to the HR function

Responsibilities

  • Interprets and communicates company Human Resources policies and procedures to Managers and Employees within client groups
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs to support Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Employee and Labor Relations, Talent Planning, HRIS
  • Leads management within client groups through employee related issues, conflict resolution and related change management. May include partaking in or conducting investigations as required.
  • Supports and leads change management initiatives by guiding leaders and employees through organizational transitions, ensuring alignment with company values and minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Talent Acquisition: leads recruitment for identified positions within client support groups
  • Communicates with new hires and their managers to coordinate efficient and positive onboarding experience
  • Maintains compliance with employee data and records including but not limited to employee files, new hire paperwork, and I-9s for assigned client groups
  • Support and administer general employee inquiries including but not limited to leave of absence, payroll, benefits
  • Support the deployment of performance management & talent management initiatives
  • Work to ensure leadership accountability and drive continued leadership excellence aligned to Calumet Leadership Values
  • Other duties as assigned
