Nexeo Plastics, LLC is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to support the company’s commercial organization. We seek a Human Resources professional highly competent in all functional areas of Human Resources (HR). The Senior HR Business Partner would be responsible for partnering with the HR management team and delivering HR solutions to business opportunities. This position requires a driven individual with experience supporting multiple locations and a track record of building credible relationships and partnering with multiple lines of business. This position is located in The Woodlands, TX with flexible work options. The ideal candidate will have strengths and applicable experience in assisting in the development and implementation and oversight of human resources programs on a day-to-day basis, organizational development, HR project management experience, recruiting, change management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, staffing and effectively partnering with all HR components.

Requirements

BA/BS in Human Resources Management or related field.
Must have at least 5 -7 years of progressive HR experience with experience supporting multiple locations desired.
Experience with HRIS (SuccessFactors a plus).
Extensive knowledge of principles and practices of human resources management and administration, employment, classification and compensation, benefits administration, employee relations and employee development.
Knowledge and understanding of state, federal and local laws and regulations related to human resources. Knowledge of HR and labor practices highly desired
Ability to effectively and efficiently plan, organize, coordinate and direct all HR activities relating to the corporate functions;
Ability to interpret, apply and explain state, federal and local laws and regulations related to Human Resources.
Strong organizational and leadership skills, with proven ability to effectively plan, implement and administer programs to achieve business objectives.
Ability to analyze situations, think critically, draw valid conclusions and project consequences of decisions and recommendations and make quick decisions requiring sound judgment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to clearly convey complex information and ideas both to senior level management and to subordinates.
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Some travel for client support may be required.

Responsibilities

Serves as the primary HR Business Partner for the commercial organization in North America, including for example, sales, product line management, and customer solutions.
Strategic Recruitment & Talent Scoping: Serve as the lead recruiter and talent architect for the Commercial organization and recruitment for other functional areas as needed. You will partner with hiring managers to identify, source, and select high-performing sales and product management talent that aligns with our growth goals.
Plans, directs, executes and coordinates HR workflow to support business needs.
Provides counsel and directs activities related to policies, discipline, terminations and other HR practices.
Resolves employee relations issues through a systematic, defensible approach.
Participates in the development and execution of a comprehensive and integrated HR plan to enable business strategy and objectives, and build alignment with other business functions
Provides counsel to management regarding organizational design and development and succession planning.
Facilitates development efforts, working with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues.
Coordinates, develops, and delivers timely and relevant solutions to the business.
Provide leadership, direction, and expertise to enable leaders to manage large-scale business and change events.
Ensures delivery of timely, relevant, and efficient HR operational services in partnership with other HR leaders within and beyond the business.
Coach, train and guide managers during the Talent Management and annual compensation planning processes.
Augments and provides representation on some and/or multiple HR work teams responsible for identifying and providing solutions to improve HR processes.
Using data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR policies and practices and understanding the business to continuously drive further improvements.
Oversee onboarding and offboarding with care, compassion and expertise.
Ensure all employee data is accurate and properly updated in SuccessFactors.
