About The Position

BAE Systems is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner to support our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business in York, PA. As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will work with management to help align Human Resources and Business performance objectives. You will support various Human Resources programs such as new hire orientation, employee relations, labor relations, investigations, talent management, workforce planning, succession planning, compensation, compliance, and employee engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of relevant HR work experience or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in providing hands-on HR support with an hourly workforce
  • Experience in employee relations, supporting the employee lifecycle
  • Must be comfortable working all levels of employees and communicate effectively
  • Ability to coach, counsel, and guide managers in effective employee relations
  • Ability to display a high level of work prioritization and customer follow through
  • Ability to work independently and use good judgement under pressure
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization
  • Professional and approachable displaying solid interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Human Resources Professional Certification
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Production, or Union environments
  • Experience in HRIS/HRMS systems

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Human Resources and cross-functional management to support the workforce
  • Support people processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Support projects as determined in the annual planning process and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives
  • Leverage existing shared services and expert teams to deliver outstanding HR support to the business
  • Support an environment of positive employee relations
  • Maintain confidentiality, establish trust and credibility, and remain approachable and fair
  • Balance business needs with employee needs, and spend significant time interfacing directly with employees/customer groups
  • Coach, counsel, and guide managers in effective employee relations
  • Champion a culture of safety and health, including continuous improvement of safety standards
