About The Position

JOB DUTIES: Conduct hands-on data analytics, such as coding of patient identification algorithms and cost and utilization outcomes (e.g., readmission measures, quality measures). Prepare code that is logically organized and well-documented. Apply innovative techniques to large claims datasets to analyze an array of healthcare-related topics. Create and execute claims processing procedures that are organized and time- and resource-efficient. Run and/or facilitate monthly production activities for an established reporting interface. Derive insights from data and clearly articulate the insights to team members verbally and/or through exhibits. Create and prepare neat and error-free exhibits and reports summarizing findings for client delivery. Work in collaboration with analysts, consultants, and actuaries to produce deliverables for clients in a timely manner REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in statistics, public health, or a related quantitative field. Three years of experience as a Healthcare Data Analyst or related role in the healthcare industry. Three years of experience analyzing demographic data using SAS, SQL, R, or Python Three years of experience using Microsoft Excel to build models. Three years of experience with CPT, ICD-9, and DRG medical coding systems. Three years of experience with data analytics involving the healthcare industry and payer systems Requirements may have been satisfied concurrently. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time position. $86,040 to $137,640 per year LOCATION: Hybrid Role: Employee permitted to telecommute intermittently from a home office within normal commuting distance to our New York, NY office. Requirements
