Bring your Grants expertise to a Mission that Matters The Senior Grants Manager plays a vital role in advancing the organization’s mission by overseeing the full lifecycle of its grant portfolio—from research and proposal development to submission, reporting, and compliance. This position ensures all grant-related efforts are aligned with organizational priorities, funding requirements, and long-term strategic goals. The Senior Grants Manager also serves as a key liaison between program teams, finance, and external funding partners. In close collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer, the Grants, Compliance, and Audit Manager (direct report), as well as the CEO, Chief Program Officer, and broader leadership team, this role manages a diverse portfolio of approximately $4M in foundation funding and $2M in government grants, helping drive meaningful and measurable community impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree preferred (e.g., MPA, MBA, Nonprofit Management).
  • 5+ years of experience in grant writing and management.
  • Proven success securing and stewarding significant grant funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
  • Being an effective communicator – both written and verbal, and the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with proven ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple funding initiatives simultaneously.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, particularly in grant documentation and data management.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and translate into compelling narratives.
  • Collaborative interpersonal skills that support productive working relationships across teams and with senior leadership.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving results.
  • Proficiency with grant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and energized by working in a fast-paced environment.
