About The Position

ANSER is seeking an experienced staff action officer to serve as an Senior Governance Program Analyst supporting an Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) client. In this key role, you will assist the client with promoting unity of effort, integrating perspectives, and facilitating decision-making at the senior-most levels of the Department of Defense (DoD). This position requires that all job duties be performed full-time onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Requirements

  • Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., event planning, project management, business administration, government) with ten years of professional experience; will consider a high school diploma with an additional four years of related experience for a total of 14 years of professional experience.
  • Prior experience coordinating cross-functional efforts or meetings.
  • Experience supporting GO/FO/SES clients or similar leaders.
  • Experience developing and coordinating tasks in CATMS or other task management and / or planning tools.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Software.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting clients at the OSD level.
  • Experience supporting a senior board executive secretariat and / or experience planning and executing senior leader governance forums, at the 3- or 4-star (or equivalent) levels.
  • Experience using Microsoft Planner.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, logistical, and analytical support for the planning and execution of governance forum meetings, including the development and maintenance of plans of actions and milestones, invitations, agendas, senior leader talking points, briefings and information papers, attendance rosters, meeting summaries, and post-meeting action tracking.
  • Ensure adherence to required timelines and compliance with security, protocol, and other DoD requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external DoD stakeholders on all aspects of governance meetings, including read-ahead distribution and attendance.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and attendee and POC rosters.
  • Support the tracking, analysis, and scheduling of meeting topics.
  • Track metrics and lessons learned for the continuous improvement of governance forum processes, meetings, and outcomes.
  • Maintain forum SharePoint sites and other collaboration tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.
