The Senior Financial Reporting Professional prepares and distributes periodic financial statements for users other than those directly employed by the organization. The work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. This role ensures all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards and organization policies. Responsibilities include preparing consolidation journal entries, eliminating intercompany transactions, and consolidating divisional and subsidiary financial accounts in a timely and accurate basis for inclusion in internal and external financial statements. The professional will begin to influence department’s strategy, make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and perform work without direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
