About the role: Join Boston Scientific’s Urology Division during an exciting phase of rapid growth as we approach $3B in annual worldwide sales. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in delivering financial insights that influence decision‑making across the organization. This role is primarily responsible for gross margin analysis, drive AI initiatives and partner with Corporate on all financial system activities. Reporting to the Urology Associate Finance Director, this position offers a high degree of exposure to Urology Senior Management and frequent interaction with divisional and regional finance partners across the organization. The ideal candidate is a strong analytical thinker with deep financial acumen and the ability to simplify complex data in a highly matrixed global environment. At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Marlborough office at least three days per week. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 4+ years experience in financial analysis, planning, or business support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to consolidate, synthesize, and report on large volumes of financial data.
  • Proven ability to work independently and operate in a consultative capacity.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Hyperion Planning, SAP, and Tableau.
  • MBA or master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience becoming a subject matter expert in financial or reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated drive and ambition to grow into more senior finance roles within the Urology Division.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex, highly matrixed global organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct forecast, plan, and strategic plan processes for the division’s gross margin
  • Perform monthly detailed gross margin analysis to provide a deep understanding of the components driving fluctuations and continue to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Perform month-end close tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting packages to share with management highlighting key financial metrics vs. goals.
  • Communicate insights into areas of interest and risk at the appropriate level of detail for the intended audience.
  • Perform inventory accounting and quarterly EE&O reviews; serve as liaison with Global Supply Chain for inventory related issues.
  • Liaise with the manufacturing plant network to aid divisional understanding of monthly results as well as help drive the annual standard cost improvement process.
  • Support and monitor certain accounting areas performed by GBS including Sales Type Leasing accounting, Sales Return Reserve and Warranty Accrual.
  • Lead the AI initiatives for Urology Finance
  • Serve as the primary business partner to Corporate Financial Systems and FinOps to support changes and new system implementations
  • Conduct ad‑hoc analysis to support critical business needs and strategic initiatives.
