In April 2023, TRATON embarked on an ambitious journey to integrate independent brand Research & Development (R&D) Organizations in Scania, MAN, International, and Volkswagen Truck & Bus into a single global TRATON R&D organization. By integrating the capabilities and resources of our brands, we will accelerate the introduction of new technologies and solutions to deliver the most competitive products and solutions to our customers. We currently have a great opportunity for a Senior Financial Consultant on our TRATON USA’s R&D Team. In this key role, you will work closely with various business units to gain a deep understanding of operations and deliver actionable financial insights that drive profitable growth. We’re looking for a results-driven finance professional with strong analytical abilities, advanced financial modeling skills, and excellent communication capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree At least 5 years of finance experience 1 year lead experience OR Master’s degree At least 3 years of finance experience 1 year lead experience OR At least 8 years of finance experience 1 year lead experience
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly financial, operational, and board review preparations
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis and develop complex financial models
  • Create and present financial insights to support and influence strategic decision-making
  • Prepare financial forecast, trend evaluations, and fluctuation analysis
  • Proactively identify and communicate trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Drive planning and forecasting cycles (Strategic Plan, Operating Plan, and monthly forecasts)
  • Oversee R&D program approvals and provide management support
  • Lead capital project assessments and business case development
  • Manage headcount forecasting, analyze resource utilization, and develop relevant performance metrics
  • Support the implementation of best-practice financial tools and processes to deliver efficiency improvements
