About The Position

A leading digital streaming network seeks a Senior Financial Analyst . The successful candidate will be responsible for journal entries, reporting, reconciliation, and budgeting.

Requirements

2+ years of accounting experience, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, reporting, and month-end close in a deadline-driven environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; degrees in Finance or Economics accepted with relevant accounting experience in the areas listed above.
Strong (and current) technical knowledge of US GAAP is preferred.
Intermediate-Advanced skills in Excel.
Proficiency in MS Word.
Must be willing to work 10 – 12-hour days during the quarter close period to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the Entertainment Industry is preferred.
Experience with Hyperion (Essbase/Smartview), Oracle, and SAP is desired.
Industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Populate monthly financial reporting schedules and provide to planning.
Analyze actuals vs. forecast (Budget / Estimate) and explain fluctuations.
Analyze fringe balances and prepare quarterly fringe accruals based on the latest estimates.
Prepare annual multi-employer pension project and corporate cost allocations.
Prepare and park monthly and quarterly journal entries and accruals as required.
Reconcile the balance sheet accounts related to overhead.
Balance of financial systems.
Validate Quarterly and YTD Earnings Books.
Prepare Quarterly Balance Sheet File for Planning Team.
