Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive Accounting or Finance experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and key financial metrics.
  • Experience with ERP and reporting systems; SAP experience needed.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical capability.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong work ethic, and resilience under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and constructively.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support key month‑end close activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting, including preparation of journal entries (accruals, payroll, allocations, reclasses) and clearing of bank items.
  • Reconcile employee benefits, remuneration, and other accrual accounts to maintain accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and submit financial and regulatory reports, including census filings and other required governmental submissions.
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity by preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Prepare financial statements for all North American entities, including consolidated Manufacturing and Sales companies, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis, summarize financial trends, and identify key business drivers.
  • Conduct recurring analysis to identify variances, risks, and opportunities that influence business decisions.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements, contributing to efficient and well‑documented audit cycles.
  • Assist with Purchase‑to‑Pay (P2P) workflows as needed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to controls.
  • Partner closely with operations, supply chain, HR, and other stakeholders to enhance accounting processes and deliver financial insights.
  • Oversee the company’s Dun & Bradstreet (DNB) credit profile, ensuring accuracy and supporting vendor risk assessments with procurement.
  • Participate in special projects, including automation initiatives to improve efficiency, transparency, and internal controls.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement discussions across compliance, controls, and reporting processes.
