About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is pivotal in supporting financial operations, driving performance, advancing the digital FP&A strategy, and leading the optimization of the FP&A forecast and planning processes. The position reports directly to the Senior Finance Director, Medtronic Global FP&A, offering a unique opportunity to influence and shape financial strategies on a global scale, working closely with the team and key partners across all businesses at Medtronic. Medtronic emphasizes in-person exchanges, requiring a minimum of 4 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 5+ years)
  • 5+ years of managerial experience
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Senior Finance Director of Global FP&A and team to support financial strategies aligned with enterprise objectives.
  • Provide analysis related to employee incentive programs, global currency exposure, and key financial drivers such as EPS and free cash flow, as well as supporting strategic decision‑making tied to enterprise investments, M&A‑related evaluations, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Support core FP&A processes including the Annual Operating Plan, and forecasting, ensuring outputs are accurate, consistent, and aligned with performance expectations.
  • Support the preparation of executive‑level financial reports, analyses, and presentations, contributing to clear and consistent financial narratives for senior leadership.
  • Support the execution of FP&A digital and analytics initiatives aligned with Finance strategy by partnering with Reporting & Analytics and Systems teams to implement and enhance Power BI dashboards, automation tools, and AI‑enabled solutions.
  • Contribute best‑practice perspectives on analytics and automation, as well as helping define and track KPIs to measure adoption, effectiveness, and value realization of digital initiatives.
  • In partnership with Core, AOR, and OU FP&A teams, support efforts to streamline planning, forecasting, and reporting processes to improve cycle time, depth of analysis, and timeline alignment.
  • Contribute to the standardization of methodologies and reporting structures, identifying opportunities to automate manual activities, and improving data accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility across the FP&A ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and business stakeholders to gather requirements and help translate business needs into scalable, global standard solutions in partnership with Systems and Analytics teams.
  • Act as a connector across FP&A processes, data, and systems to support integrated and sustainable solutions aligned with enterprise strategy and financial objectives.
  • Support change management and continuous improvement efforts related to new tools, dashboards, and process enhancements.
  • Contribute to communications and training activities, helping build digital and analytics capability across FP&A, and partnering with the Global FP&A COE and Transformation teams to identify and implement opportunities that enhance efficiency, scalability, and adoption.
