Senior Finance Manager - Data Center Innovation and Strategy

The Cloud Infra and Supply Execution (CISE) finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s Cloud-first strategy. The CISE finance team is responsible for supporting delivering cloud capacity at the right time, right place and right cost. We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager - Data Center Innovation and Strategy to support financial planning and controllership for Datacenter Design and Office of CO+I CTO. The role requires a high degree of agility and skill in navigating multiple stakeholder requirements while enabling accelerated growth aspirations for the business in a highly competitive market environment. To be successful, the individual needs to be highly collaborative, self-motivated, and curious in learning.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field - OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field - AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ work experience in a matrixed org
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally across teams and at all levels.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring clarity to complex situations.
- Experience in process improvement / optimization is preferred
- Proficient Excel modeling and prior FP&A experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support monthly/quarterly processes around close, forecasting, budget, and long-range planning functions across Datacenter Finance team and orchestrate more broadly across the finance organization
- Support capital approval processes to support our growing Cloud business
- Partner with engineering leaders on DC design, costing, value engineering and capital investments needed
- Be a cultural champion for inclusion, growth mindsets, and establish culture and norms that support consistent quality employee and partner experiences
