We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to help shape the future of our cloud products. The Cloud Infra and Supply Execution (CISE) finance team is an exciting and fast-evolvingfinance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s Cloud-first strategy. The CISE finance team is responsible for supporting delivering cloud capacity at the right time, right place and right cost. We’re seeking a Senior Finance Manager to own deal modelling and end to end coverage for accelerated capacity asks. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
  • OR equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling (NPV/IRR, sensitivity, price/volume mix), forecasting, and scenario planning for capital intensive programs.
  • Proven ability to partner across engineering, procurement, operations, influencing decisions with clear narratives and well structured analyses.
  • Grasp of inventory/accounting mechanics (capitalization policies, carrying costs, write downs, controls) and portfolio governance.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel/Power BI (or similar), and the ability to connect disparate data sources into executive ready insights.

Responsibilities

  • The role requires a high degree of agility and skill in navigating multiple stakeholder requirements while enabling the accelerated growth aspirations for the business in a highly competitive market environment. To be successful, the individual needs to be highly collaborative, self-motivated and be curious in learning.
  • Own the definition, standardization, and governance of financial and infrastructure efficiency metrics across data center build execution, lease economics, and end to end Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Develop and maintain robust internal and external benchmarks for construction cost, lease structures, infrastructure efficiency, and cost to build, enabling consistent comparison across regions and capacity pathways.
  • Lead infrastructure efficiency analytics, identifying key cost drivers, performance variances, and systemic improvement opportunities across build and lease programs.
  • Embed standardized metrics and benchmarks into core finance and execution rhythms (investment reviews, planning, forecasting, and build execution tracking) to drive consistent, data driven decisions.
  • Partner with engineering, real estate, capacity planning, and delivery teams to align metric definitions, validate assumptions, and ensure metrics are operationally meaningful and decision relevant.
  • Provide executive ready insights and recommendations that frame tradeoffs, highlight risks and opportunities, and support both baseline and accelerated capacity build and lease strategies.
