This position within Naval Power’s AEGIS Sustainment finance team is seeking a motivated finance professional to join our DOD/FMS Port Hueneme Division (PHD) portfolio as a Senior Financial Analyst (P2). This portfolio is composed of DOD/FMS contracts varying in size with the U.S. Navy. In this role, you will be responsible for financial operations, collaboration and relationship building with internal and external customers. The ideal candidate for this role will be an excellent communicator with a strong desire to learn while being challenged. Competitive applicants must have the ability to think on their feet, make decisions in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities and interact with various levels of management. This position will provide an opportunity to improve skills in financial planning, PRISM, estimates at complete and variance analysis and apply them to existing and future pursuits. This position is being offered in an on-site capacity and is determined by the needs of the business. This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories).

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience using SAP (APEX, PRISM, and/or BW/AO), RTN PMX or similar financial systems
  • Experience with Program Controls (Cost/Schedule) and/or EAC Process

Responsibilities

  • Quarterly Development of Estimate at Completion (EACs)
  • Delivery of Monthly contract deliverables (CDRLs)
  • Interfacing with Control Account Managers, Program Management, the Integrated Product Leadership Team, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
  • Analysis of program performance, utilization of PRISM tools, assisting with initial baseline for new awards
  • Support review and forecast of Bookings, Sales, Earnings and Cash forecast to Financial Planning
  • Summary contract level inputs and updates to Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Contribute to cross-functional teams with an emphasis on financial implications of team decisions and ensure finance team knowledge of program decisions
  • Develop, utilize, and disseminate process improvement and tool improvement opportunities to enhance analytical opportunities for the entire finance team
