About The Position

The Senior Field Trainer/ Analyst for Academies/Strong Foundations will provide the following: Plans, implements and evaluates program initiatives and instruction. Works closely with instructional administrators, coaches and educators to implement the training program. Assess the effectiveness and success of training programs and makes appropriate improvements. Researches new topics and develops ideas and concepts for enhancements to training class programs. Provides technical assistance to internal and external users. Maintains accurate records of training activities. Prepares correspondence reports and projections as requested. Performs related functions as assigned. Periodically facilitates and coordinates professional development seminars and conferences.

Requirements

  • A Master's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years working with local education agencies (LEA). 5 years experience facilitating high-quality professional learning for various stakeholders (i.e., teachers, campus leadership, district leadership); including coaching and technical assistance).
  • A firm understanding of research-based literacy and math instruction for elementary and/or secondary students. A willingness to become certified as a Research-Based Instructional Strategy (RBIS) facilitator in math and/or literacy. A willingness to become certified as a cohort leader for the Texas Reading Academies. Deep understanding of the MTSS including both planning and implementation.
  • Experience supporting emergent bilingual students. Experience using collaborative technological tools such as Canvas, Teams and Zoom. Ability to multitask on several initiatives, both independently and with colleagues. Strong facilitation skills; understanding how to plan, prep, and facilitate for adult learners.
  • Bilingual in Spanish in all aspects of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • 15 years of relevant experience and ESL, Bilingual, and/or Administrative certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Support director and manager of LIFT (Leadership and Instructional Foundations for Texas) program to provide technical support, professional learning, and coaching for LEAs in Texas in RLA and math.
  • Train to support LEAS in research based practices in vision crafting, analyzing data to build strong instructional systems, adoption/implementation of HQIM, and effective observation/feedback practice.
  • Model and facilitate effective instruction, PLC practices, teacher coaching, and data analysis rooted in the use of HQIM with fidelity.
  • Foster a culture of improvement through effective relationship building among colleagues and system leaders; setting high expectations and modeling reflective practices.
  • Attend all meetings as required and maintain accurate documentation of work.
  • Other duties as assigned, including supporting additional projects as determined by the direct supervisor.
