About The Position

The Senior Field Solutions Engineer (Sr. FSE) serves as a high-impact technical strategist and industry expert dedicated to scaling software adoption and operational excellence. By cultivating deep-rooted technical relationships with agencies and partners across the South Western US and Mexico, you will act as the bridge between complex infrastructure challenges and our cutting-edge solution suite. In this role, you aren’t just a vendor; you are an embedded consultant. You will integrate directly into the daily operations of key agencies to lead complex proof-of-concepts (POCs) and oversee strategic initiatives that maximize product utility. Your mission is to ensure that every deployment delivers measurable value, fostering the long-term network growth and software expansion essential to our market leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalency or achievement of recognized professional level
  • 8+ years of technical experience; must understand network products
  • Professional working proficiency in both Spanish and English; must be able to conduct meetings and draft technical documents in both languages
  • Ability to travel internationally, providing on-site consulting work to clients
  • Ability to manage multiple projects utilizing strong planning and organizational skills
  • Experience with general consulting skills that include team facilitation, business case development, strong business analysis skills, process mapping and process redesign
  • Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management and support
  • Analytical nature with the ability to solve complex business issues
  • Basic understanding of product development and engineering processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support diverse agencies—including Traffic, Transit, Public Safety, and Mobility—to build a cohesive, integrated city architecture.
  • Technical Discovery: Audit existing customer ecosystems to identify technical gaps and create tailor made solution demonstrations.
  • Product Requirements: Document field requirements to drive product positioning and influence internal product design and feature prioritization.
  • Architectural Documentation: Lead the design and technical documentation, for solutions defined in the account plan.
  • Proactively identify and scope future integration opportunities with both proprietary products and 3rd-party systems.
  • Cross-Departmental: Establish frameworks for inter-departmental solutions and facilitate collaboration between internal city agencies..
  • Value-Driven Demos: Design and manage application demonstrations that clearly highlight specific business value.
  • Proof of Value (POV): Oversee all pilot installations and manage the technical execution of proof-of-value evaluations.
  • Territory Approvals: Collaborate with the APL (Approved Product List) team to secure necessary product certifications.
  • Standardization: Partner with customers and prospects to update their ITS specifications to incorporate company Master Specifications.
  • Resolve complex technical issues that threaten purchase decisions, renewals, or customer retention.
  • Act as a dedicated advocate to ensure an effortless user experience during the resolution of technical challenges.
  • Bridge the gap between the customer and internal Product/Support teams to address operational issues and product deficiencies.
  • Success Advocacy: Build deep relationships within key accounts to cultivate product champions and advocates.
  • Accelerate the creation of case studies, references, and webinar content to support account-based marketing programs.
