About The Position

Akkio is the AI workflows platform that automates every workflow across the campaign lifecycle, helping media agencies and data providers activate their data and expertise at scale to deliver better campaigns faster. Founded in 2019, Akkio combines state-of-the-art ML technology with a simple, intuitive interface to ensure agencies can easily infuse data into every decision across the campaign lifecycle to enhance client outcomes. With recent Series A funding of $15M, we're rapidly expanding our operations to meet growing demand from major media companies. The Opportunity Be the product expert and solutions strategist who maps customer requirements and use cases to Akkio's capabilities and roadmap. You'll craft persuasive demos and run POCs end-to-end (discovery → scoping → pilot → executive readout → negotiation support). You'll partner closely with Sales and a Solutions Architect who handles deeper technical design and build. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-funded, early-stage AI startup and shape the future of AI-powered marketing analytics while working with a talented team. You'll be joining at an exciting growth stage, with the chance to make a significant impact on our technical direction and company success. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and technical depth. While your day-to-day won’t involve building data pipelines or writing production code, you must be fully credible in technical conversations with data engineers, analytics leads, and IT stakeholders—not just marketing end-users. There are opportunities to get hands-on when needed, whether that’s building light tooling, prototyping workflows, or crafting solution accelerators to support deployments and POCs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in solutions engineering, technical consulting, solution architecture, technical account management, or pre-sales for enterprise software platforms (AI/ML, analytics, martech/adtech strongly preferred).
  • Hands-on experience working with LLM-based enterprise software/systems (e.g., conversational analytics, RAG-assisted workflows, AI copilots) in customer-facing contexts—able to explain evaluation criteria, governance, and adoption patterns. (No requirement to have built models from scratch.)
  • Proven ability to map business problems to product capabilities and articulate trade-offs (what's GA vs. config vs. roadmap).
  • POC leadership: setting success criteria, running structured pilots, and driving to decisions with measurable outcomes.
  • Executive-caliber communication & storytelling—confident live demos, crisp decks, and concise write-ups.
  • Strong stakeholder management across Sales, Product, and Customer Engineering; comfort with multi-threaded, enterprise deals.
  • Modern cloud data platforms: Understand how data flows through warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks. You can discuss schemas, common transformation patterns, and why a customer's data architecture matters for our integration.
  • APIs and integration patterns: Comfortable explaining REST APIs, webhooks, authentication methods (OAuth, API keys), and how enterprise software connects to existing tech stacks. You've scoped or supported integrations in past roles.
  • AI/ML concepts for enterprise: Can articulate how models are trained, evaluated, and deployed in business contexts. Understand concepts like training data quality, model drift, prompt engineering, and RAG architectures at a level sufficient to set customer expectations and answer "how does it work?" questions.
  • Enterprise IT considerations: Familiar with SSO/SAML, data residency requirements, security reviews, and procurement processes at large organizations.
  • Data formats and operations: Comfortable with CSV, JSON, and basic SQL. You've used BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) or worked alongside teams that do.
  • Competent LLM usage: Experience working with foundational models (Anthropic, OpenAI,etc.) and be able to speak about prompting best practices and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Own solution mapping in pre-sales: lead discovery, translate requirements into Akkio configurations, align scope, timelines, and success criteria.
  • Be demo-ready, always: deliver targeted demos and POV narratives that connect pains to current capabilities and near-term roadmap.
  • Lead POC execution (business/functional stream): define success metrics, manage cadence, validate outcomes, and guide executive readouts; coordinate technical tasks with the Solutions Architect.
  • Handle technical Q&A at the right altitude: speak credibly to how Akkio integrates with common agency data stacks and workflows—including data ingestion, transformation logic, and output delivery.
  • Drive commercial momentum: document decision criteria, quantify value/ROI, track risks, and support negotiation with clear acceptance outcomes.
  • Create reusable assets: discovery guides, demo scripts, solution one-pagers, and exec-summary templates.
  • Close the loop with Product: capture field feedback, identify gaps vs. roadmap, and provide crisp, prioritized inputs that improve win-rate and time-to-value.
  • Engage with clients: work closely with clients and client teams to help them understand the Akkio platform and get the best outputs aligned to their needs.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
