About The Position

As a Senior Field Service Specialist, you will be a strategic leader on-site, overseeing operational performance, mentoring junior staff, and leading technical problem-solving for our mining clients. Based in Arequipa, you will drive the adoption of best-in-class service solutions, identify optimization opportunities, and ensure operational reliability, safety, and sustainability across client operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Industrial, or Electronic Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in the mining industry with at least 3 years in senior field service or technical leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise in maintenance management, reliability engineering, and plant optimization.
  • Strong understanding of mineral processing equipment and consumables.
  • Experience managing teams, budgets, and KPIs in a customer-facing environment.
  • Fluent in Spanish, proficient in English (spoken and written).
  • Hands-on experience in plant shutdowns, reliability projects, and technical problem-solving.
  • Proficiency with CRM and operational software tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site service operations, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency of client equipment.
  • Mentor and coach junior Field Service Specialists, Site Account Managers, and technical teams.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, optimization plans, and reliability initiatives.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex equipment and operational issues.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and retention by providing proactive solutions and expert guidance.
  • Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, consumables, and service contracts.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Global Service Line Managers to align solutions with regional and global strategies.
  • Manage site-level budgets, KPIs, and operational metrics to ensure high-performance outcomes.
  • Support planning and execution of plant shutdowns, retrofits, and major service projects.
  • Provide insights and reporting on operational performance, service trends, and customer feedback.
