About The Position

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day hands-on operations and maintenance of company facilities, including warehouse, distribution areas, conveyor systems, and company-provided buildings. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant facility operations while supporting repairs, preventive maintenance, and operational improvements. The ideal candidate is highly operational, comfortable working directly with teams and equipment, and experienced in warehouse/industrial facility environments.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on technical capability across building systems, warehouse equipment, and conveyor belts
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, OSHA standards, and hazardous material handling
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, electrical, and operational equipment in a warehouse environment
  • Skilled in coordinating and supervising operational teams for daily maintenance tasks
  • Experience with vendor management and sourcing operational services
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facility management, industrial maintenance, or warehouse operations
  • High school diploma or relevant post-secondary education; certifications in facility management or industrial safety preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with conveyor systems or industrial material handling preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform hands-on maintenance and repair of facility systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and conveyor belts in distribution/warehouse centers
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for equipment, machinery, and facility systems
  • Lead and support day-to-day warehouse operations, including troubleshooting conveyor systems and other production equipment
  • Supervise, train, and provide guidance to facilities staff to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Manage third-party vendors for facility services and special projects, ensuring quality work and adherence to standards
  • Maintain company-owned vehicles, tools, and equipment used in facility operations
  • Document maintenance activities, incidents, and safety checks accurately
  • Respond to urgent facility issues, breakdowns, or safety concerns promptly
  • Assist with renovations, upgrades, and operational improvement projects as needed
