About The Position

As a Senior Facilities Manager at JLL, you'll lead the strategic oversight and operational management of large-scale soft services contracts with a primary focus on landscaping and grounds maintenance across a large portfolio for the Texas Medical Center in Houston. This role positions you as the key driver of service excellence, where you'll manage vendor partnerships, ensure quality standards, and optimize the performance of landscaping, cleaning, waste management, and related soft services operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of facilities or soft services management experience with demonstrated expertise in leading landscaping and grounds maintenance operations
  • Proven track record managing large-scale soft services contracts with responsibility for multi-million dollar budgets and multiple vendor partnerships
  • Strong knowledge of landscaping practices, horticultural principles, seasonal maintenance programs, and grounds care equipment and techniques
  • Experience managing cleaning, waste management, and other integrated soft services in commercial or corporate environments
  • Excellent vendor management, negotiation, and contract administration skills with ability to drive performance and accountability
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills with ability to translate operational activities into business value and strategic insights

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, vision and guidance to the soft services, and support services functions, including janitorial, landscaping, irrigation, pressure washing, fleet management, signage, space planning/office moves and others
  • Manage the performance and outcomes of assigned staff reporting to the position.
  • Establish a “Safety First” culture on the site and improve safety performance by championing our level of awareness and changing all staff and partner safety behaviors.
  • Provide overall facility services in accordance with accounts’ standard processes and procedures including application of policies and programs, coordination of information.
  • Ensure compliance with portfolio wide initiatives and required local, state, and federal laws and regulations that pertain to the operating of facilities entrusted to the Facility Partners to manage on behalf of the client as owner.
  • Manage, coordinate, and exercise functional responsibility for Facility Management services within assigned facilities and geography.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage facility budgets with the clients’ goals and objectives addressed, track variances and ensure smooth recovery process.
  • Responsible for overall team management, staff development and planning.
  • Execute staff succession and growth plans.
  • Any and all other duties assigned.
