About The Position

RED VELVET is seeking Freelance Senior Event Production Leads who are ready to take the reins on complex projects, especially conferences and large-scale event programs. If you’re also activation- or creative-forward, that’s a bonus, but our top priority is a production powerhouse who can deliver flawlessly, think strategically, and champion the client’s brand in every detail. In this role, you’ll lead programs from inception through execution. You’ll drive project management with precision, navigate ambiguity with confidence, and serve as a senior partner to clients and internal teams. You will own the big picture while elevating the smallest details. RED VELVET projects include: Experiential Activations, Experiential Conferences, Luxury Experiences, Brand Moments, and Strategic Consulting.

Requirements

  • Seasoned Producer of Complex Events
  • 10+ years in the experiential/meetings/events world with extensive production leadership.
  • Experience leading conferences, multi-day programs, or large-scale events with many moving parts.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the creative + strategic objectives of each program; align cross-functional teams.
  • Manage day-to-day operations and budgets.
  • Develop and manage timelines, workflows, and staffing plans.
  • Maintain 360° visibility of the project, taking initiative instead of waiting for direction.
  • Drive cost management through negotiation and strategic buying.
  • Lead production for activations, stages, and fabrication partners.
  • Oversee graphics workflows.
  • Manage vendor communication and logistics.
  • Co-lead client status meetings and maintain clear communication.
  • Audit project status and ensure alignment across leads.
  • Oversee on-site execution and team leadership.
  • Lead post-event reconciliation, invoicing, and retrospectives.
