About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Environmental Scientist/Project Manager to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage complex environmental projects and requires a strong understanding of Michigan's regulatory framework, particularly Parts 213 and 201 reporting requirements. You will lead environmental investigation and remediation projects, ensuring compliance, high-quality deliverables, and timely execution.

Strong understanding of environmental due diligence principles.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple project assignments and meet strict deadlines.
B.S. degree in geology, engineering, or the sciences.
5 to 10 years of environmental consulting experience.
Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
Industrial Stormwater Operator and Asbestos Inspector certifications.
OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER certification.
Valid Michigan Driver's License.
Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform fieldwork.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and direct drilling, surveying, and laboratory services.
Oversee the removal of Underground Storage Tanks.
Provide construction oversight on environmental remediation projects.
Prepare and review Initial Assessment Reports (IAR), Final Assessment Reports (FAR), and Closure Reports.
Conduct and manage environmental due diligence projects, including Phase I/II ESAs, BEAs, and Due Care Plans.
Assist in data interpretation and preparation of site work plans, spreadsheets, figures, and technical reports.
Perform Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to support property transfer transactions.
Prepare SWPPP plans, secondary containment, and environmental control studies and reports.
Mentor and train Field and Staff Scientists in conducting fieldwork and sampling.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
