As Environmental Project Manager, you’ll lead and support environmental remediation projects that make a real difference to the environment. You will lead projects from planning through execution, remedy assessment and selection, and ultimately implementing remediation strategies while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. You’ll oversee multi-disciplinary project teams, support proposal efforts, and provide mentorship to junior staff. The role combines office work with periodic field assignments requiring occasional travel with overnight stays. This professional position may afford the opportunity to implement a flexible schedule including remote work for office related duties, providing employees with ample work-life balance options The Environmental Project Manager will lead and manage environmental remediation projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory programs including Pennsylvania’s Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Act (Act 2), Storage Tank Program, Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act, CERCLA, RCRA, and others Support proposal efforts across a wide-range of scopes and markets Develop scope, schedule, and budget for assigned project, ensuring project goals and objectives are met, on-time and on-budget while maintaining project controls throughout Manage projects from inception to completion with regulatory compliance and a demonstrated ability to manage projects safely and efficiently Work with and lead a project team consisting of technicians, scientists, and engineers to meet project objectives and maintain client satisfaction Prepare work plans, support remedial designs, and prepare final project reports Excel at communications, ensuring all stakeholders are consistently informed on project progress and execution Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Manage a variety of subcontractors, ensuring quality and delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degrees with 10-yr experience, Master degrees with 8 yr experience, or PhD degrees with 5-yr experience
  • Experience managing projects and navigating regulations
  • Proficiency with environmental software and tools
  • Understanding of environmental remediation principles and techniques
  • Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • A valid driver's license is required as is a willingness to travel

Nice To Haves

  • A 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is preferred.
