The Edward Jones Change & Internal Communications team is seeking a Senior Enterprise Communications Strategist to develop high-impact communications strategies that help internal stakeholders understand and embrace the firm's strategy and adopt the changes necessary to achieve our ambition. What you'll do… Senior Enterprise Communications Strategists are responsible for leading end-to-end communication strategies for the firm's largest, most complex strategic efforts. This role is part of the Enterprise Messaging & Channels team, which is responsible for developing and delivering firmwide communications, ensuring the right messages are reaching the right stakeholders at the right time on the right channel. Through this work, you will be applying insights to develop and deliver messaging to the firm's more than 50,000 associates. You will ensure content is compelling and consistent across a variety of channels, including email, meetings, intranet, and our internal communications platform. The Senior Enterprise Communication Strategist will engage and build relationships with colleagues and partners, while advising senior stakeholders across the firm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience is strategic communications; focus on internal communications and change management preferred
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing communications strategies for large, complex organizations
  • Experience in high-profile project ownership and management required with proven ability to manage multiple projects and processes in a dynamic, matrix environment.
  • Strong writing skills, with experience writing for different media
  • Experience managing content production processes and determining appropriate channel activation strategies.
  • Experience translating stakeholder needs into communication strategies and experiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and diverse audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting organizational transformation and/or large-scale change management initiatives.
  • Flexibility and willingness to explore different paths to achieve an outcome and adjust quickly and efficiently to new circumstances.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and innovations in communication delivery is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end internal communication strategies for large, complex strategic efforts that enable internal stakeholders to understand and embrace the firm's ambition, strategy and plan to achieve it.
  • Be a lead contributor to the firmwide messaging strategy and editorial planning process to ensure efficiency, consistency and alignment with other capabilities as the message is translated into targeted, stakeholder-centric activations.
  • Leverage strategic consultation skills to anticipate and respond to shifts in strategy as warranted, leveraging data and stakeholder input to coach/advise and influence strategic decisions of business leaders to adjust the communication plan when necessary to drive measurable action from the target audience.
  • Leverage communication metrics to drive strategic delivery across multiple projects, assess communications effectiveness and present results to senior stakeholders.
  • Informally lead other communications consultants and/or specialists, as well as matrixed leadership of resources from enabling functions that support the complex change management and communication execution efforts.
  • Partner with team members to identify and assess risks, issues and opportunities with impacts for stakeholders related to other change underway and coordinate with those teams to integrate and align efforts, through the stakeholder lens.
  • Partner with the External Affairs and Marketing departments to ensure seamless integration and consistency between internal and external messaging.
  • Drive and recommend improvements and innovation in internal communications content and channel delivery to reflect industry "best-in-class" practices that will strengthen impact and value.
