Job Summary: The Engineer VI - Engineering Manager applies a thorough knowledge of current engineering principles and practices across various aspects affecting the organization. This role utilizes expertise acquired through progressive experience to address crucial issues and unique conditions . The Engineer VI - Engineering Manager stays informed about new methods and developments , recommending new practices or changes in program emphasis while managing programs of limited complexity and scope .

Requirements

Proficiency with electronic communication including e-mail and text , as well as standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite ).
Possess advanced oral and written communication skills .
Represent the organization and maintain liaison with individuals and related organizations.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program .
10+ years of prior experience required.
Professional Engineer (PE)

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree or equivalent.
Engaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues .
Member of a professional practice organization , national board member or officer, or national technical or policy committee member .

Responsibilities

Lead Technical Discipline Team: Manage and guide a technical discipline team within the organization.
Technical Specialist: Serve as the technical specialist in applying advanced concepts, principles , and methods in an assigned area.
Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with new developments and requirements , recommending changes in programs or applications.
Project Coordination: Interpret, organize, execute , and coordinate assignments .
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned or required to meet business needs.
