Key Responsibilities 1. Field Auditing & Quality Control Rotate daily/weekly through assigned markets and communities. Conduct structured jobsite walks of active installations. Inspect for quality, safety compliance, cleanliness, and adherence to company SOPs. Verify documentation accuracy, inspection readiness, and compliance with applicable codes, safety requirements, and builder standards/satisfaction. Engage directly with builders to assess satisfaction and proactively address concerns. Deliver written audit reports to the GM with objective findings and recommended action items. 2. Accountability & Reporting Structure Provide clear, documented feedback to the GM following audits. Identify trends, recurring deficiencies, and high/low-performing teams. Support the GM in creating measurable action items for Area Managers within 1:1 performance reviews. Track repeat issues to identify coaching needs versus performance concerns. Maintain neutrality and consistency to ensure fairness and operational clarity. 3. Safety Leadership & Escalation Management Serve as the branch safety subject matter expert. Act as an extension of the Safety Team while maintaining alignment with the Director of Safety. Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and hands-on safety training for subcontractors, Area Managers, and field technicians. Manage and document safety escalations in coordination with the GM and local Area Manager. Partner directly with builders on safety-related issues and compliance matters. Ensure OSHA standards and company safety SOPs are upheld consistently across all projects and team members. 4. Training & Development Identify employees, subcontractors, or teams requiring additional training. Deliver hands-on field coaching and corrective training. Support onboarding of new Area Managers and field staff. Train teams on new SOPs, process rollouts, and operational project initiatives. Reinforce company operating standards through education and enforcement. 5. Operational Excellence & Process Improvement Identify process breakdowns and operational inefficiencies. Provide actionable recommendations to leadership for system improvement. Partner with the GM and leadership team to refine and implement solutions. Assist with rollout and field implementation of new company initiatives. Ensure alignment between corporate SOPs and field execution realities. 6. Leadership Coverage & Operational Support Serve as acting General Manager during GM absences. Backfill Area Manager responsibilities during vacations or staffing gaps. Support branch operations as needed to maintain continuity and performance. Assist in managing builder escalations and complex field challenges. 7. Continuing Education & Talent Development Lead ongoing development initiatives to elevate branch-wide field leadership capability. Provide hands-on coaching to Area Managers on plan reading, jobsite execution, builder communication, and operational decision-making. Train teams on best practices in residential exterior construction, safety execution, and quality control standards. Develop Area Managers into high-performing leaders by reinforcing accountability, time management, and structured job oversight. Conduct structured training sessions on effective and efficient use of CRM systems, reporting tools, and company operating platforms. Identify skill gaps within the branch and implement targeted training plans to close them. Support onboarding and accelerated development of new Area Managers and field staff. Reinforce a culture of continuous improvement through education, mentorship, and performance feedback.
