GDIT’s Contracts and Acquisition Management Office (CAMO) is seeking a results-oriented Business Area Senior Contracts Manager, who as a working manager will oversee an Intelligence and Homeland Security Division (IHS) Business Area with responsibility for various types of U.S. Government contracts primarily within the areas of Information and Technology (IT) Services and Solutions, and Professional Services across various U.S. Government DoW component. As a key strategic business partner, the leader of this group will lead and manage a diverse organization of professionals and possess extensive contracts management and compliance experience. This position will be an integral part of the Division leadership team and will report to GDIT's IHS Space, Cyber & Intelligence Sector Director of Contracts. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT Directly oversee the work of the contracts professional staff within the Business Area Ensures internal contractual compliance with relevant terms and conditions and compliance with designated management objectives Provides advice, counsel and interpretation of contracts and acquisition requirements to various leaders Negotiates contract terms from proposal stage to program close-out in accordance with relevant regulations Serves as point of contact and trusted advisor with internal departments concerning specific contract questions, issues, and problems related to Business Area contracts Participate in proposal teams to include making decisions on pricing and scheduling strategies, compliance, mitigation of organizational conflicts of interest issues, coordination of requirements and proposal risk assessments Reviews solicitation requests and GDIT proposal volumes to identify risk areas and ensure compliance with terms and conditions Participates in program reviews, executive status briefings and customer engagements Coordinates with program leaders to ensure contract requirements are fulfilled Participates and provides opinions on proposal and program strategies Engages with DoW component contracting counterparts to develop and cultivate relationships Maintains current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices Participates in special projects as required WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Education: Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, 9+ years of related experience in government contracting, subcontracts, new business, regulatory or contracts compliance required. Experience: 5+ years of related experience in government contracting, subcontracts, new business, regulatory or contracts compliance Role Requirements: Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, as well as advanced analytical, critical thinking, and negotiation abilities. Experience in identifying risks in terms & conditions and facilitating the mitigation of those risks. Highly experienced with various contract types. Advanced knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned contracts including the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and customer supplements. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to mentor and develop and lead training for team. Experience negotiating contract terms. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
