About The Position

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will take ownership of modernizing our Weaver platform, a critical system powering risk analytics and data reporting across multiple business verticals. This is a high-impact leadership role that blends hands-on Java development with strategic technical direction, enabling the transition to an API marketplace and shaping the next generation of our technology stack. You’ll work closely with architects and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions that future-proof our organization. Your contributions will directly influence risk analytics capabilities, empowering end users to self-serve reporting needs through a platform that supports 3,000+ reports and APIs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong Java backend development expertise, including hands-on coding and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Java Spring framework for building scalable applications
  • Experience with OpenShift for container orchestration and deployment
  • Experience with Tomcat and WebSphere application servers
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools, such as Splunk and Grafana
  • Basic SQL skills for database interactions
  • Understanding of AWS infrastructure and cloud-based environments
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and drive innovation
  • Experience working with large-scale API ecosystems and supporting enterprise-level platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrate experience with microservices architecture and API design
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in financial services
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to influence stakeholders and guide teams

  • Own technical strategy and lead architectural initiatives for Weaver modernization and API marketplace adoption
  • Ensure resilient, high-performance design across all platform versions
  • Drive best practices for SDLC and enforce coding standards
  • Champion innovation by introducing new features and enhancements to future-proof the platform
  • Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions
  • Drive migration of multiple data sources to the cloud while ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team members
