About The Position

We help to accelerate and protect the digital experiences of major retailers, hotel & airline, automotive, and manufacturing customers, providing technical advisory and thought leadership. We build loyalty and growth through customer centricity, deep industry understanding, and a relentless focus on business outcomes. You'll maximize customers' value from Akamai solutions through strategic thinking, program management, technical acumen, pre-sales collaboration, and thought leadership. You will move our customers' key initiatives from concept to implementation, solving problems and delivering exceptional satisfaction. As a Senior Engagement Manager, you lead services & support programs with our most strategic customers, being responsible for:

Requirements

  • Have 8 years of experience and a Bachelor's in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or its equivalent
  • Demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role and an understanding of the consulting process to ensure customer success
  • Have experience managing and delivering large technical programs successfully
  • Be knowledgeable on Devops, web performance, and core internet technologies such as DNS, TLS, and HTTP
  • Be knowledgeable on information security fundamentals, common threats and vulnerabilities, as well as the tools and methods used to protect data, applications, and infrastructure
  • Be familiar with compute technologies and architecture principles with basic knowledge and skills to design, implement, and manage cloud-based systems
  • Be a team player with an ability to work independently and as part of a remote team

Responsibilities

  • Owning customer success and being the trusted advisor that helps customers achieve their desired outcomes using Akamai solutions.
  • Performing research and conducting assessments to identify trends and provide guidance that influences customer architecture and adoption decisions
  • Architecting and managing web performance, cloud computing and security solutions.
  • Defining an account strategy, establishing key relationships, and building and maintaining a project pipeline.
  • Leading and mentoring a cross functional team, cultivating a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Partnering with sales and pre-sales to help expand the use of services and solutions.
