About The Position

Epic Gardening is a leading gardening media and commerce company, home to some of the most trusted brands in the space—including Epic Gardening and Botanical Interests, one of the most beloved seed brands in the U.S., known for its iconic hand-drawn seed packets and educational approach to gardening. We’re seeking a Senior eCommerce Marketing Manager to own and evolve the online experience across two distinct but complementary brands. This role will shape how customers discover, learn about, and purchase products across Epic Gardening and Botanical Interests—ensuring each brand’s digital experience feels authentic, inspiring, and deeply trusted. This is a senior, high-impact role responsible for the strategy, execution, and performance of both brands’ eCommerce channels. You will define the long-term digital vision, oversee day-to-day site and content experience, and drive measurable growth in conversion, revenue, loyalty, and brand perception. The role carries meaningful commercial and product influence. You’ll think like a GM—balancing brand storytelling, customer experience, and disciplined financial performance. You’ll guide merchandising strategy, influence pricing and promotions, oversee marketing investment, and ensure sustainable, profitable growth across both brands.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce marketing, digital growth, or related roles.
  • Proven success growing DTC brands through UX optimization, merchandising, and performance marketing.
  • Experience influencing product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategy.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to balance growth and profitability.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify Plus, GA4, Klaviyo, Hotjar, and A/B testing or personalization tools.
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution, ownership, and follow-through.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Nashville, TN area; hybrid in-office 2–3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • eCommerce Brand & Experience Leadership
  • Lead the evolution of the Epic Gardening and Botanical Interests digital brands, ensuring each maintains a distinct voice, visual identity, and customer journey.
  • Ensure all online touchpoints (site, email, campaigns, ads) deliver cohesive, brand-aligned experiences.
  • Translate brand storytelling into intuitive UX and seamless shopping experiences.
  • eCommerce Growth & Optimization
  • Own performance of PDPs, CLPs, and key site journeys across both brands.
  • Build and execute a prioritized roadmap for UX, navigation, and on-site merchandising improvements.
  • Partner with Creative, Engineering, and Marketing Ops to deliver data-driven enhancements tied to core KPIs.
  • Product & Commercial Strategy
  • Partner with Product and Merchandising to shape digital assortment, positioning, and launch strategies for both brands.
  • Influence pricing, promotions, and marketing investment to drive sustainable revenue and margin growth.
  • Monitor channel-level performance, balancing top-line growth with responsible spend and profitability.
  • Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with Operations to align campaigns, launches, and merchandising strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that strengthen both brands within Epic Gardening’s broader ecosystem.
  • Use analytics, customer insights, and experimentation frameworks to guide decisions and prioritize opportunities.
  • Leadership & Influence
  • Set clear goals and expectations for contributors and cross-functional partners.
  • Champion best practices in eCommerce marketing, CRO, and digital brand management.
  • Serve as a brand steward and strategic leader—protecting brand integrity while driving results.
