Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree (Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or Business preferred)
  • Preferred 8 plus years of commercial/multifamily real estate valuation experience
  • Active and good standing Certified General MAI Designation preferred
  • Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical skills: proven acumen in financial modeling or real estate underwriting
  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate data services preferred: REIS, CoStar, RealPage, Yardi, ESRI, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong client service skills
  • Strong literary and grammatical competency; very comfortable with business-formal writing composition
  • Strong propensity to take initiative with minimal direction
  • A genuine interest in PropTech and multifamily real estate
  • Data science, statistics, or software programming experience, skills, or interest desirable
  • Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes
  • Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Play a leadership role in designated territory team
  • Help drive revenue growth for territory – establish and manage existing and new client relationships
  • Territory & team compliance & quality control – may manage Certified General and trainee appraisers during their production process, reviewing and signing off on their work prior to submission, staying current and ensuring reports are prepared in compliance with industry regulatory standards
  • Partner with leadership to support territory business development & relationship management – nurturing existing client relationships by checking in with cold relationships (defined as no engagements in last three months), managing inbound calls, bidding, client reviews, attending client events, etc.; establishing new business relationships with prospects to include industry conference attendance, prospect lunch meetings, and calling and emailing prospects
  • Territory market commentary – assisting in publishing thought leadership pieces on LinkedIn and similar general and industry specific media platforms
  • Software refinement – providing detailed feedback on existing and future Company and/or Venture software functionality
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Attendance is generally required from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm local time, Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays
