Formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Planned Parenthood Action Fund is a separate non-profit membership organization tax-exempt under section 501(c)(4). The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and limited electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education in furtherance of the Planned Parenthood mission. Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund seek a dynamic and seasoned speechwriter and communications leader to fill the role of Senior Presidential Writer. This job reports to the National Director, Federation & Internal Communications in the department of Federation Affairs in the Office of the President. The Office of the President communicates with clarity and purpose to develop stakeholder capabilities and model the culture needed to achieve the organization's goals, vision, and mission. Purpose: The Senior Presidential Writer serves as the strategic architect and guardian of the President & CEO's voice. They will partner directly with the President, Deputy Chief of Staff and senior leaders within the Office of the President to create compelling original content that consistently conveys the organization's strategic narrative and key messages to internal and external stakeholders. As a trusted advisor and speechwriter, the Senior Director exercises exceptional judgment, discretion, and political acumen to ensure the President's communications resonate with diverse stakeholders â from affiliate leaders and national boards to donors, policymakers, and the public.
