The Senior Director of Federal Policy and Reimbursement will be responsible for shaping, strategizing, and translating U.S. federal public and private payer policy to enable timely, appropriate patient access to Regeneron’s medicines. This leader will help drive cross-functional alignment on federal policy and reimbursement strategy and will partners with other functions throughout the organization including market access, commercial, HEOR, pricing, provider/patient advocacy, and field teams to ensure policy readiness at launch and throughout the product lifecycle. In this role, a typical day might include the following: Lead development of policy and reimbursement strategies that anticipate evolving regulatory and payer landscapes across Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, and integrated delivery systems. Translate complex policy changes (e.g., coverage criteria, coding/payment updates, inflationary policies, price negotiations, step therapy, prior authorization) into actionable business implications for brand teams. Shape company positions and responses to proposed/final rules, guidance and sub regulatory memorandums. Reimbursement Pathway Enablement: Help strategize and map optimal coding, coverage, and payment pathways (e.g., HCPCS, CPT, ICD-10, DRG,) across sites of care (physician office, hospital outpatient, specialty pharmacy) to prepare for product launches. Guide coding strategy and support applications for product-specific codes; monitor and communicate coding/payment updates. Partner with pricing and contracting to align policy and reimbursement assumptions to gross-to-net and payer access goals. External Engagement & Advocacy: Engage with trade associations and policy influencers to shape the external environment and represent Regeneron’s policy perspectives. Partner with patient and provider advocacy organizations to understand access barriers and co-develop policy solutions. Support government affairs in comment letters, stakeholder briefings, and policymaker education. Insights, Analytics & Reporting: Establish policy monitoring frameworks, dashboards, and indicators for access risks and opportunities. Synthesize payer policy changes and reimbursement trends into concise executive updates and recommendations. Commission and interpret analyses (claims, policy impact modeling) to guide decision-making.
