The Sr. Director of Strategic Insights is responsible for overseeing the organization’s strategic insight’s function, cultivating a data-informed culture, establishing an intake and feedback loop process to prioritize and highlight business intelligence projects for the organization effectively, and ensuring grant-related KPIs are realistic and aligned within current systems. The leader is tasked with improving VOAOHIN’s Operations through a Business Intelligence data environment and managing data outcomes for the agency. The role also prioritizes opportunities for workflow automation to enhance efficiency and data quality across the organization. Additionally, this leader is responsible for managing effective grant management from award through implementation, reporting, and final closeout. Key responsibilities include developing grant policies and procedures aligned with best practices and providing regular training to team members who oversee or manage grants for VOAOHIN. This role also serves as the subject matter expert for the organization’s grant management software, ensuring that all grant team members and staff responsible for grant execution are fully trained to use the system. This includes maintaining accurate and timely data within the platform to support transparency in milestone achievement, reporting, and grant expenditures. As a member of the grants team, the incumbent works primarily with the grant’s leadership team and operations leadership to ensure the successful implementation of the grant process, including scoring grant opportunities, scheduling grant award kick-off and handoff meetings, and ensuring on-time program and financial reporting of grants. This position is responsible for managing grants from government, foundations, nonprofits, and other public/private sources in coordination with the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Innovation and will serve as a backup in writing and submitting grants. Additionally, the Senior Director of Strategic Insights works in strong collaboration with the finance and program staff responsible for the implementation and execution of the grant(s).

Requirements

Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred
3-5 years related experience and a proven track record in grants administration and/or project management, or a background in a continuous improvement work environment with a strong understanding of systems thinking and performance measurement
A valid Driver’s License and proof of individual automobile insurance is required in addition to a driving record that complies with Volunteers of America.
