MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the Senior Director of Human Resources & Talent Acquisition is to lead and execute an integrated people strategy—including talent acquisition, infrastructure, compliance, and development—so that leaders and staff are empowered to perform at their best and advance the organization’s mission.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and HR Strategy: Leads HR strategy by translating organizational goals into actionable policies and initiatives aligned with Mentoring Alliance’s mission and values, while serving as a trusted advisor and coach to executives, directors, and supervisors on all people-related matters, including hiring and termination decisions, performance management, disciplinary action, conflict resolution, and performance improvement.
  • Culture & Engagement: Leads and reinforces organizational culture standards and rhythms, including chapel, cross-regional communication, and all-staff meetings in partnership with senior and executive leadership, serving as a Culture Champion to ensure brand alignment and consistency across regions through active on-site engagement, training, and strategic participation.
  • Talent Acquisition: Owns and leads the talent acquisition strategy for core, part-time, and seasonal staff across After School and Summer Camp programs, while designing the systems, processes, and analytics infrastructure that ensure scalable, data-driven hiring success at every level of the organization.
  • Total Rewards and Compensation : Defines and executes a cohesive total rewards strategy aligned with organizational goals, ensuring competitive and cost-effective compensation and benefits, while overseeing job architecture, including job families, levels, standardized job description templates, and leveling guides to drive clarity, consistency, and scalability across the organization.
  • People Compliance & Legal: Provides strategic oversight of HR compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies, ensuring accurate, secure, and up-to-date personnel records, while leading employment-related risk management, including workers’ compensation, unemployment claims and hearings, workforce commission matters, and other HR-related claims.
  • Talent Development: Creates and implements comprehensive talent development strategies to ensure continuous staff growth, while leading organizational leadership training for Supervisors and Senior Leaders, including performance management, onboarding planning, disciplinary processes, and termination practices.
