The company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director of Engineering to lead a large, talented team responsible for large-scale security solutions serving millions of users. This position involves leveraging technical expertise and leadership skills to shape the future of Video Security on a global platform. The successful candidate will manage engineers across multiple teams and global locations, prioritize quality and customer satisfaction, and oversee global deployments within an organization committed to innovation and a collaborative, "human-first" engineering culture.

Requirements

8+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management.
6+ years of experience in an Engineering leadership role.
Experience successfully evolving organizations with a focus on empowering leadership teams, enabling others to make decisions, rather than dictating the "correct" way.
Passionate about creating positive and engaging, high-trust employee environments, where you care about your people.
Experience in building and managing diverse, high-performing, geographically-distributed engineering teams with sensitivity to different cultures.
A proven track record of shipping complex, large-scale products on time and within budget.
Deep understanding of software architectures and patterns.
Proven track record of defining and executing an AI-first engineering strategy, moving beyond experimentation to deploy scalable, production-grade intelligent systems.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
Strong understanding of security and compliance standards in the technology industry.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
5+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role.
6+ years of experience in software engineering.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering organization, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Drive and communicate the technical strategy and roadmap for the team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.
Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions, meeting scalability, performance, and security requirements.
Partner cross-functionally with product management, security, and compliance teams to deliver impactful and compliant solutions.
Champion engineering best practices and promote a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the implementation and management of security compliance programs, ensuring all cloud and on-premise solutions adhere to relevant regulations (GDPR, SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.).
