Location: South San Francisco, CA. Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior Director of Market Access to join the IDEAYA Commercial team. The Senior Director, Market Access will be responsible for developing and executing IDEAYA’s US market access, pricing, and reimbursement strategy for the launch of darovasertib in metastatic uveal melanoma (mUM). This leader will ensure broad, timely, and sustainable patient access while also shaping our value evidence strategy in a very high unmet disease area. This individual will be a critical strategic partner to influence cross-functional workstreams in orphan diseases, biomarker-driven populations, and unique combination treatments. While the initial focus will be on darovasertib, this role will evolve over time to include direct reports and contribute to the global launches of IDEAYA’s exciting pipeline of oncology assets. This position is based in our South San Francisco headquarter offices and required to be onsite four days per week per our company policy. Reporting to: Vice President, Value and Access

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in related discipline and at least 10-15 years of related experience
  • Experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry in US market access, managed markets, and/or payer strategy
  • Knowledge and experience of payer landscapes, specialty pharmacy distribution, integrated delivery networks, formulary decision-making, and payment/access models
  • Experience conducting market research activities to inform access strategies and positioning
  • Experience providing input into global market access and pricing strategies for pipeline assets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to present to diverse stakeholders including external partners, healthcare professionals and senior leaders
  • Excellent organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-evolving environment
  • In-office role (4x per week) with 20% estimated travel to vendor partners, and relevant conferences/meetings as deemed necessary
  • This position requires you to be fully vaccinated from COVID-19, subject to reasonable accommodations for medical or religious reasons, and/or as otherwise required by applicable law. Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive market access, pricing, channel, and reimbursement strategy to support darovasertib access at launch and through its lifecycle
  • Lead IDEAYA’s payer engagement strategy, including national and regional commercial payers, PBMs, Medicare and Medicaid
  • Collaborate with HEOR to develop robust and compelling clinical, humanistic, and economic value propositions and evidence generation plans
  • Develop, train, and implement the necessary promotional resources and reimbursement pull-through that support field account teams’ efforts with key customers; ensure programs and materials comply with SOPs and Medical, Legal & Regulatory (MLR) reviews
  • Develop launch pricing and contracting strategies, with lifecycle considerations to ensure continued market competitiveness and patient access
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Pricing, HEOR, Trade & Distribution, and Field Access teams
  • Monitor the US and global policy, reimbursement, and pricing landscape and assess strategic implications for darovasertib and the IDEAYA pipeline
  • Engage and collaborate with external partners including payers, health care providers, thought leaders, and decision-makers to establish/ maintain strong partnerships and gather insights
  • Influence the design of IDEAYA’s clinical development programs through global price and market access and commercial opportunity assessments
  • Oversee budgeting and financial planning for all market access activities, ensuring cost-effective dynamic execution
