About The Position

QCI, a Quadra company, is seeking a strategic, hands-on Senior Director of Human Resources – USA to lead the evolution and growth of our U.S. people function as we expand operations in the United-States. Historically, HR support for Quadra’s U.S. business, QCI, has been delivered through a Canada-based service model. This role represents a pivotal shift toward building a strong, scalable, and locally embedded HR function in the United States, while remaining closely aligned with Quadra’s broader North American people strategy. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources in Canada, the Senior Director will be a key member of the U.S. leadership team and a trusted advisor to senior business leaders. This individual will be accountable for shaping the U.S. HR strategy, strengthening culture and leadership capability, ensuring compliance, and building best-in-class HR practices to support sustained growth. The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR leader with deep U.S. employment expertise, proven M&A experience, and the ability to balance strategic leadership with operational execution in a growth-oriented environment. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a U.S. HR function with real impact—shaping culture, strategy, and infrastructure during a critical growth phase—while partnering with an established and collaborative North American HR organization.

Requirements

  • M&A Expertise: Demonstrated experience leading HR due diligence and post-merger integration initiatives.
  • Deep, practical knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment laws is required.
  • Proven experience in HR policy design, implementation, and auditing
  • Strong experience in benefits and pension program design and administration, including 401(k) plans
  • Demonstrated experience with HR technology and HRIS platforms (Dayforce experience is an asset).

  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience within a distribution or manufacturing environment would be considered an asset
  • Prior experience working within a cross-border or global organization, particularly U.S./Canada environments, is strongly preferred.

  • Total Rewards & Talent Programs (20%): Oversee U.S. total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, payroll, 401k and wellness, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity. Partner with Quadra’s centralized HR teams (Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Learning & Development, Total Rewards) to adapt enterprise programs to the U.S. market.

  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) (10%): Play a leadership role in future acquisition activity, including HR due diligence, risk assessment, and workforce integration.
