About The Position

The China Pricing team partners closely with and supports the China Sales team to deliver high‑quality, timely pricing proposals across Hyperscale, OEM, COEM, Distributor, Consumer, and other Edge Segments to optimize both short term and long term business results. As part of the Global Finance Pricing team, we align product, customer, and market strategies with other key Seagate teams including Sales Operations, Account Management, Legal, Finance and Marketing to execute Seagate financial goals while ensuring compliance with Seagate policies and relevant laws and regulations. Lead the China Pricing function and manage a team that supports all major China customer groups (e.g., Hyperscale, Enterprise/Surveillance OEMs, Distributors, Consumer). Develop pricing strategies for the entire China business, in coordination with Marketing and Sales, which support business strategies and performance targets and which balance near term performance execution with long term profitability and competitive positioning. Coordinate with other Regional / Segment pricing leads to ensure coordination of pricing strategies and execution across the business. Oversee and approve pricing recommendations for all China RFQs, negotiations, and special deals. Structure and approve pricing and rebate programs and T&Cs for long term agreements that comply with global pricing policies, applicable laws and regulations and audit requirements. Oversee the development and submission of the China pricing plan as part of the quarterly financial forecast process. Provide insightful analysis on plan over plan changes, pricing execution versus plan, market pricing, etc to Finance and Go to Market Executives. Champion digital transformation initiatives to improve work/process effectiveness and efficiency while ensuring robust controls remain in place. Develop the talent pipeline through job rotations, sponsorship of training and development programs, involvement in cross-functional projects, etc. and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in pricing, finance, sales operations, or related business roles
  • Strong understanding of China IT/technology markets.
  • Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation and written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills, with proven ability to effectively partner with and influence cross functional stakeholders to deliver optimal pricing and business decisions
  • Attention to detail, organized and efficient at time management.
  • Experience working with industry leading pricing tools/systems (e.g., Model N, Vistex, Vendavo), as well as SAP and ideally some exposure to/experience of working with AI related tools.
  • Deep business knowledge of China OEM ecosystems, Distribution channels and competitive dynamics, ideally within the storage or memory industry or related IT hardware/manufacturing companies.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related fields or equivalent experience.
