Description Provides leadership and oversight to the Pricing group. Collaborates with product, marketing, sales and other teams to determine competitive pricing strategies, gain market share. Oversees and guides team efforts within or across Deal Desk, Pricing Analytics and Pricing Strategy. Contributes to and/or drives development of strategically important, complex pricing scenarios and structures. Responsibilities The Deal Operations COE Lead will play a critical leadership role in driving profitability, ensuring competitive positioning, and enhancing revenue growth across Diebold Nixdorf’s diverse markets worldwide. In this role, you will develop and implement strategic pricing strategies based on market analysis, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to maximize margin and market share. This role will also oversee and optimize the deal review and approval processes, ensuring timely and efficient execution of sales agreements. You will need to collaborate closely with sales, finance, legal, and operations teams to structure, negotiate, and finalize deals. The ideal candidate will lead a global team, leverage data-driven insights, and align pricing initiatives with overarching business objectives across Banking and Retail end-markets. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement pricing strategies and commercial models, including value-based pricing, discount frameworks, and promotional pricing, to optimize revenue and margin Experience utilizing advanced analytics to drive commercial insights and ultimately enhanced price realization Lead annual price planning cycles, including cost pass-through strategies, inflation adjustments, and value-based pricing initiatives Develop and implement approval workflows, ensuring deals move efficiently from initial request to final execution Manage the deal review and approval processes to ensure alignment with company policies, pricing guidelines, and financial targets Partner with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and Operations to align pricing with go-to-market strategies and supply chain / operations Continuously monitor pricing initiatives and market conditions and adjust strategies as needed to maintain a competitive edge and achieve profitability targets Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing pricing and deal desk team to support global operations and regional sales teams Develop and operationalize analytical frameworks to assess pricing effectiveness, discounting trends, and customer profitability, supporting executive-level strategy decisions Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred 15+ years of experience in Deal Desk Management, Commercial Support, Analytics, at least 4 years of experience in Pricing Proven success in developing and implementing global pricing strategies across multiple business lines and end-markets Deep understanding of sales cycles, contract management, manufacturing cost structures, market dynamics, and financial analysis Experience implementing digital pricing tools or AI powered pricing solutions Experience in Manufacturing and/or Technology industries and familiarity with Banking and Retail end markets Experience leveraging advanced analytics to shape pricing strategies and deal structures Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), deal desk software, CPQ systems, contract management tools, BI tools, and advanced analytics Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders Knowledge of pricing strategies, discount structures, and commercial terms
